New York Department of Financial Services COVID-19 Emergency Regulation

On March 30, 2020, the New York Department of Financial Services adopted an emergency regulation following the issuance of Executive Order 202.13. The new regulation requires New York life, annuity and property and casualty insurers to provide certain relief to New York consumers and businesses experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19. Pursuant to New York Executive Order 202.38, the regulation is currently effective until July 6, 2020.
